Hand surgery

Hand surgery is an inherent part of further training as a specialist for plastic and aesthetic surgery.
Different diseases like trigger finger (tendovaginitis stenosans) or thickening/shortening of the hand fascia (Dupuytren’s disease) or a nerve entrapment syndrome (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome) can be of functional importance especially on the hand. For this reason, respective therapies are usually covered by medical insurance.
